Adopt a Peak for for The Ehlers-Danlos Society

I am raising awareness and funds for The Ehlers-Danlos Society by attempting to be the first person to hike the forty high peaks east of the Mississippi and South of the Mason Dixon Line in every month of the year consecutively. That's forty 6,000 foot peaks every month for twelve months for a total of 480 total summits. This project of patience and dedication is called a Single Year Grid.

I began this fundraiser after receiving a Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos diagnosis eight months into this ambitious hiking project. The Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) are a group of 14 heritable connective tissue disorders that produce a spectrum of complex problems across multiple systems of the body. Hallmark symptoms across all types are hypermobile joints, skin hyperextensibility, & tissue fragility. Although Hypermobile Type Ehlers Danlos is the most common type, there is currently no known genetic cause or cure for this chronic pain disorder.

In the wake of this diagnosis, I am trying to raise $4,800 for the Ehlers-Danlos Society, which is dedicated to saving & improving the lives of those affected by the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, hypermobility spectrum disorders, & related conditions. This number is special because it breaks down to $10 for each peak I will summit during the course of a year during the Single Year Grid.

When making a donation, make sure to note which peak or peaks you'd like to adopt (a few peaks have already been completely adopted, but I'll contact you for a second choice). Hopefully by the end of my Single Year Grid I will be able to fill in two spreadsheets, my Grid and donation spreadsheet!

Thank y'all for your support!
